Rigorous Quality Inspection
15-point inspection on every tote
Every IBC tote that enters our facility undergoes a comprehensive 15-point inspection process. We check for structural integrity of the steel cage, UV degradation of the HDPE bottle, wall thickness using ultrasonic gauges, valve function and seal integrity, pallet condition, label and marking accuracy, and interior cleanliness. In 2024, we deployed AI-assisted visual inspection cameras that detect hairline cracks and stress fractures invisible to the naked eye. Our rejection rate for quality defects after inspection is less than 0.3%.

Competitive Pricing
Save 40-80% vs. new containers
Reconditioned IBC totes from our facility cost 40% to 80% less than brand-new containers from manufacturers — with no compromise on performance or containment integrity. We offer transparent, tiered pricing based on tote grade (A, B, or C), volume, and delivery distance. Bulk discounts start at just 10 units. For customers with ongoing needs, our subscription replenishment programs lock in pricing for 6- or 12-month terms, protecting you from market volatility in plastic resin and steel costs.

Eco-Friendly Commitment
Zero waste to landfill since 2018
Choosing IBC Totes Recycle is not just a financial decision — it is an environmental one. Every reconditioned tote prevents approximately 33 kg of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and diverts 55-75 kg of material from the landfill. Our facility runs on 40% solar energy, recirculates 80% of wash water, and maintains a 99.6% landfill diversion rate. When you buy from us, you receive a certificate of environmental impact for each order that you can use in your own ESG reporting.

Fast Turnaround
Same-day reconditioning available
Time is money in industrial operations, and we understand that an empty tote sitting on your dock is lost productivity. Our standard reconditioning turnaround is 3-5 business days from pickup to delivery. For urgent needs, we offer expedited same-day and next-day reconditioning on orders placed before noon CT. Our inventory of pre-reconditioned, ready-to-ship totes in all standard sizes means many orders leave our facility the same day they are placed.

Custom Solutions
Modified to your exact specifications
No two operations are identical, and off-the-shelf is not always the answer. Our custom modifications team handles valve conversions (ball, butterfly, camlock), heating blanket installations for temperature-sensitive materials, custom fitting adapters, specialized gasket materials for chemical compatibility, and custom labeling and color-coding. We also design bespoke reconditioning programs for large-volume customers, including dedicated storage, scheduled pickups, and priority processing lanes.

What Sets Us Apart
Beyond the six core advantages, here are the deeper differentiators that make IBC Totes Recycle a fundamentally different kind of IBC supplier — and a better long-term partner for your business.
Single-Source Simplicity
Most businesses work with one supplier for new totes, another for recycling, a third for cleaning, and a fourth for logistics. We do everything under one roof — buying, selling, recycling, reconditioning, custom modifications, and transportation. One contact, one invoice, one partner.
AI-Powered Inspection
We are one of the first IBC reconditioning operations in the country to deploy AI-assisted visual inspection cameras alongside ultrasonic wall-thickness testing. These technologies detect defects at a level that human inspectors cannot match, driving our quality pass rate to 99.7% — the highest in the industry.
Closed-Loop Water System
While most reconditioning operations use single-pass washing that consumes 75 gallons per tote, our triple-stage closed-loop system uses just 15 gallons. That is an 80% reduction in water consumption per tote — and over 9.4 million gallons saved annually across our throughput.
Environmental Impact Certificates
Every order includes a certificate documenting the specific CO2 prevented, water saved, and material diverted from landfill for that transaction. No other IBC supplier provides this level of environmental accounting, and our customers use these certificates in their ESG reports, CDP disclosures, and sustainability marketing.
15 Years of Consistency
We have been reconditioning IBC totes since 2009 — longer than most competitors have existed. That longevity means battle-tested processes, deeply trained staff (average tenure 7+ years), and long-term customer relationships built on trust and performance, not just price.
Flexible Volume — No Minimums
Most suppliers require minimum orders of 25-50 totes. We serve customers ranging from a single replacement tote for a craft brewery to fleet contracts of 10,000+ totes for Fortune 500 manufacturers. No minimum order, no maximum capacity, and volume discounts that start at just 10 units.
Dedicated Account Management
Recurring customers receive a dedicated account manager who learns your operation, anticipates your seasonal needs, manages your buy-back schedule, and ensures every order receives personalized attention. Your account manager is your single point of contact for everything IBC.
Zero-Waste Certified Facility
Our 99.6% landfill diversion rate is independently audited and certified annually. Every component of every tote — HDPE, steel, wood, gaskets, valves, labels — enters a dedicated recycling or reuse stream. When you work with us, you are working with a verified zero-waste operation.
Our 8-Step Quality Assurance Process
Every single tote that leaves our facility passes through this rigorous eight-step quality assurance process. No shortcuts, no exceptions. This is how we maintain a 99.7% quality pass rate.
Visual Exterior Inspection
AI-assisted cameras photograph the tote from all sides, identifying dents, corrosion, cracked welds, missing labels, and cage deformation. Flagged anomalies are escalated to manual review.
Steel Cage Structural Test
Cage tubing is checked for bends, fractures, and weld integrity. Corner uprights are tested for plumb alignment. Any cage that cannot safely support a stacked load is retired to the recycling stream.
HDPE Bottle UV Degradation Check
UV exposure causes HDPE to become brittle over time. We visually and instrumentally assess yellowing, crazing, and chalking — indicators that the bottle has exceeded its safe reuse window.
Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Test
A handheld ultrasonic gauge measures HDPE wall thickness at eight standardized points. Any reading below 2.0 mm triggers rejection. This catches thinning from chemical erosion or abrasion invisible to the eye.
Interior Residue & Contamination Scan
After washing, the bottle interior is inspected under high-intensity LED lighting for residual staining, odor, or contamination. Food-grade totes receive an additional ATP swab test to verify microbial cleanliness.
Valve & Gasket Replacement
Discharge valves are removed, inspected, and replaced with new valves if any wear, corrosion, or seal degradation is detected. Top-cap gaskets are replaced as standard procedure on every tote.
Pallet Integrity Check
Wooden pallets are checked for cracked boards, protruding nails, and forklift damage. Plastic and steel pallets are inspected for cracks, warping, and connection-point integrity. Failed pallets are replaced.
Final Leak Test & Certification
Every tote is pressurized to 3 PSI and held for 60 seconds. Any pressure drop indicates a leak, and the tote is returned for repair or recycled. Passing totes receive a certification sticker with date, grade, and inspector ID.

Midwest Chemical Distributor
Chemical Manufacturing
Challenge
A regional chemical distributor was spending over $320,000 annually on new IBC totes for shipping industrial solvents. End-of-use totes were accumulating at customer sites with no recovery plan, creating storage problems and disposal costs.
Solution
We implemented a full circular-economy program: supplying Grade A reconditioned totes at 55% below new pricing, establishing a buy-back program with scheduled quarterly pickups at 12 customer sites, and providing environmental impact certificates for the distributor's ESG reporting.

National Food Processing Company
Food & Beverage
Challenge
A national food processor needed food-grade IBC totes for transporting fruit concentrates and flavoring syrups between six production facilities. Their existing supplier provided only new containers at premium prices, and the company had no reconditioning or recycling program in place.
Solution
We set up a dedicated food-grade supply chain using our SQF-ready reconditioning line. Each tote receives triple washing, ATP swab testing, and a food-grade certification sticker. Scheduled bi-weekly deliveries and pickups across all six facilities ensure seamless container flow.

Agricultural Products Distributor
Agriculture
Challenge
A multi-state agricultural distributor needed a reliable supply of IBC totes for liquid fertilizers and herbicides during peak planting season. Demand spikes of 300-400% in March through May regularly caused stockouts from their existing supplier, leading to production delays and lost revenue.
Solution
We designed a seasonal inventory program with pre-staged totes at three regional warehouses, guaranteed next-day delivery during peak months, and off-season buy-back for empties. Subscription pricing locked in rates for 12 months, eliminating budget surprises.

Our Risk-Free Guarantee
We stand behind every tote we sell and every service we provide. These guarantees are unconditional and apply to every order, every customer, every time.
Quality Replacement Guarantee
If any tote does not meet the grade we quoted — whether due to a missed defect, incorrect specification, or any other quality issue — we replace it at no charge with free return shipping. No questions asked, no forms to fill out, no waiting period.
On-Time Delivery Guarantee
If we miss your confirmed delivery window for any reason within our control, your shipping cost for that order is refunded in full. We maintain a 98% on-time delivery rate, but we want you to know you are protected on the rare occasion we fall short.
Price-Match Guarantee
If you receive a lower quote from another IBC reconditioner for equivalent tote grade, quantity, and delivery terms, show us the quote and we will match it or beat it. We are confident in our pricing because we control the entire reconditioning process in-house.
Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of your order — quality, delivery, communication, or anything else — contact your account manager within 30 days and we will make it right. Period.
Environmental Impact Guarantee
Every environmental statistic we publish is independently verifiable. If you find that any environmental claim on our impact certificates is inaccurate, we will issue a corrected certificate within 48 hours and donate $500 to a Wisconsin environmental nonprofit of your choice.
Buy-Back Price Guarantee
When you sell totes back to us, the price we quote is the price you receive. We do not downgrade quoted prices after pickup based on condition assessments. If a tote does not meet the quoted grade, we still pay the quoted price and absorb the difference.
